The cruises between the two Russian capitals — Moscow and St. Petersburg – is a great opportunity to enjoy one of the most popular routes, to visit the North-west of Russia and to admire Volga towns.

The zest of the itinerary are the Valaam and Kizhy islands that you can visit in one cruise. You will cruise 5 rivers, 2 channels, Ladoga and Onega lakes.

Travelling from one capital to another you will have the opportunity to visit ancient Russian town of Uglich, have a stop in a stunning village of Mandrogi where you are sure to be invited to dine, entertained with a story about the country life and offered traditional tea from samovar and freshly baked pies – pierogi.

The cruises include services in English from board guides, excursions in English with no additional charge. Explore the cities, towns and villages in a week and experience service and comfort on the ship.

Day 1:  Moscow

Departure at 10:00 p.m. We would recommend you to arrive a few days earlier to spend your time in a city so rich on history. *A pre/post excursion program can be provided at additional cost.

Day 2: Uglich, Myshkin
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Welcome to the fascinating and ancient city of Uglich, part of the “Golden Ring” of cities surrounding Moscow. You will walk in a typical old Russian town and visit the modern interactive Museum of Hydropower, which belongs to the five best regional museums in Russia. After the lunch you will get to know Myshkin almost unchanged since the beginning of the 20th century. Myshkin is known for its Mouse Museum. A brave mouse is a symbol of the town and actually gave the place its name («myshka» in Russian means «mouse»).

Day 3: Kuzino

You will visit the Monastery of St. Cyril on the White Lake. Founded in the 14th century, the monastery has preserved its magnificent architecture and fascinates the visitors by its wonderful collection of Russian Orthodox icons and majestic churches. 

Day 4: Kizhi
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Explore the reserved island of Kizhi and its an open air museum with a precious collection of wooden churches and chapels. Walking on the island, you can see peasant houses, bell towers, windmills which were all collected from different parts of Russian North. Among them is the pearl of the collection — the 22-dome Transfiguration Cathedral (1714), that was built without a single nail. The museum’s collection is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Day 5: Mandrogui,Svirstroy
Meals included: Breakfast, BBQ jutdoors, Dinner
Accompanied by a folk ensemble you’ll taste «shashlik» (a traditional Russia barbecue). Then you will take a walk around this amazing village inhabited by talented craftsmen; watch the artisans making carving wood and «matryoshkas» (Russian nesting dolls); view the Russian «izba» (traditional Russian house). The village illustrates the traditions and lifestyle of Russia’s past.
A bus tour to the Alexander-Svirsky Monastery founded in 1487. It boasts one of the few preserved three-tented belfries and medieval clock towers in Russia.

Day 6: Valaam Island

You will visit the main island of a unique archipelago in the northern part of the Ladoga Lake, where ships with foreign guests are rarely come. Visit the Valaam will become truly unforgettable experience. Amazing nature of the island of Valaam has attracted artists since olden times. We will make a trip on a small boat along the coast of the island and also visit the impressive monastery, which is the most important center of Orthodoxy.

Day 7: St. Petersburg

Disembarkation after breakfast. We would recommend you to spend your time in St. Petersburg, visiting the main architectural and historical masterpieces of the city. *A pre/post excursion program can be provided at additional cost.

  • 30% deposit to be paid within 7 days upon reservation

More than 69 days prior to departure — 20% of cruise price is charged (non-refundable deposit)
69-60 days prior to departure – 25% of cruise price
59-50 days prior to departure – 45% of cruise price
49-31 days prior to departure – 75% of cruise price
Less than 31 days prior to departure – 100% of cruise price
